Chocolate Strawberries
I have seen fresh chocolate strawberries advertised
for unbelievable price of $15.00 a dozen. Whew! There is a very easy & lot less
expensive way to make them. Wash berries & dry them well, melt chocolate chips,
& dip berries, put on wax paper to dry. See how simple that is. You can use whatever
flavor of chips you prefer, milk chocolate, semi-sweet, or white. I do recommend
using Driscoll Strawberries if they are available, they are sweetier, & in my humble opinion have the best taste of any berry.
If anyone has any suggestions or great childrens party story
they would like to share, please, feel free to email me. I will post all
of them possible on this site. Please I love pictures, & would love to see
yours...but I REFUSE to put pictures of children on-line. If I have a picture
of my children here, you will notice, either it is distorted in some way or
else they are in costume. Please try to understand, I feel very strongly
about doing anything that might in someway threaten or harm my children,
as well as yours.*SMILE*
A few party ideas: Barbie Party, have girls come dressed as Barbie,
the cake could be a doll cake. Dalmation Party, paint guest face white with black
spots, cake could be doghouse, treats could be dog-bone shaped cookies. Blues Clues
is very popular right now, make invitaions using clues to lead guest to party day & time. Cake could be a handy-dandy note pad.(Made from a sheet cake using licorice strings as the spirals) Handy-Dandy note pads & crayon would make a great party favor. One idea I have for a Tea Party, but I haven't tried,
because my daughter is to old for it (sob, sob) is to base it on "Alice In WonderLand, The Mad Tea Party" I would dress the guest of honor as
Alice & then set the table with things you would see in the story, then I would set
each place so it would represent a character (ie: The Queen Of Hearts, The Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, & so on...) If anyone should try this idea please
let me know how it works
