Tea Party

A tea party is one of the very best themes you can choose no matter what
the age of the young lady. I have given several & ALWAYS they were a smash.
So let's get to planning.First thing will be your guest list. Then you
will decide on your invitations. Invitations can be quite costly, so you
may opt to make them. With your computer, it really is a simple process.
But please, make sure you use a better quality paper,it really will show
off your work much better.You could cut some teapots out of pretty paper
and hand write them.That really adds the personal touch.

Setting The Table

For each guest you will need,a REAL tea cup,napkin**,plate,fork/spoon.
I like to use paper lace placemats & placecards, too. When you decorate
your table,if you will put things on different levels,you will find
that it makes a much more pleasant presentation. The way I do it is,
I put down my tablecloth**, then I use stacks of books, bowls turned upside
down,whatever I can find.I put pretty napkins or pieces of material over
them.That builds my levels. Then I add some of my fav things, such as
dolls, hats, gloves, high heels with junk jewelry spilling out of them,
angels, pictures in pretty frames, bits of lace here & there.I also like
to make a tulle swag around the table edge & put crepe paper flowers in

Things to do at a Tea Party:old fashioned game of gossip, pinkies out,please
hokey-pokey(you will enjoy watching this as much as they enjoy doing it!)
make-overs, pictures of each girl in a scene you have set.(These make
wonderful Thank-You Cards).Have FUN!!
