(Flower Cake)

Invitations: With permanent marker write invitation on balloons.
Paper Dolls are wonderful for Fashion Party, Dress-Up Tea Party,
Barbie Party. On the web you will find several places to print
them out. Print, cut them out & add a dot of glue stick &
press on cards you have made.
Treasure Map showing directions to your house are great for a
Pirate Party.
You get the idea, just pick a theme & go from there.



The Cake: you would really like to try decorating a cake
but really don't know where to begin? My fav tip is
GO TO THE TOY DEPARTMENT! It is amazing what you can
find there that will match your party theme. Worried
about that border around the top/bottom of the cake?
Peruse the candy aisle! You want flowers on your cake?
But the thought of making a rose out of frosting terrifies
you? Easy, fresh flowers are gorgeous, but make sure they
haven't been exposed to chemicals like pesticides or fertilizers.
Of course you can always use silk flowers, & with them you
don't have to worry about the chemicals or if they are in
season.

Things to do with those left-over dressess: if you have a Dress-Up
Tea Party this time, next time have a Fashion Party & use them.
If you are a crafter or sewer, you will have oodles of things
you can use them for! Doll dresses, pretty pillows, if you
like victorian Christmas ornaments, these are great to cut
and use, make kitty cats, bears, parosols, etc. Also they make
the best old-fashioned boots stockings. Any lace on them is a
bonus for you.
