Our every day break: Berber Whisky. And some relaxing sunsets, even though it happened not so often.
This year we drove quite a lot of small piste, which were sometimes almost washed away by the heavy thunderstorms. But after the storm comes quietness with beautiful sunrises......
...with blue sky in the sahara.....
until it starts all over again!!!!!
Nevertheless, it has been an tremendous experience to be in the desert while it starts raining again for aproximitly eight years without.
But the further south we came, along the Algerian border, it happens to be sunny with almost no wind from behind and 35 degrees celsius. What a pleasure (heat?!)!
It was so hot, that the normades had to butcher their camels and we were quite sweaty while driving.
But the incentives of these views were worth it all, right Christof!?
After two days driving and 180 kilometers we came back on the tarmac in the afternoon, while three french Landrovers wanted to start driving the other way around, but .....
we enjoyed a night in a really nice hotel, maintainig the bikes and being the "sight" for the kids of the village.
It is still to watch out for some animals also using the street. Luckily they know, that we have the traffic on the right side.
Beautiful weather is changing with strong winds, rain, cold and what ever comes up to your mind.
Here we are aproaching the Atlantic Ocean, but asurable that it has been rainy there in the evening also heavily. And sometimes the streets were totally destroyed.
Crossing again the Anti Atlas on pistes, which Christoph really liked, and staying the nights in a very nice Auberge.
Next day was perfect weather but became worth within the next days with heavy icecold rain and wind,....
that we were wearing almost everything we had until...
we reached the top of Maroc near Tubkal Mountain at....
2700 meters above sealevel.
Next trip to come? If all organizational things are worked out, it is time to change the continent: South America is the next goal for a trip. Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivien. How long? I do not know yet!!
