Sum
It has been an incredible Time in Maroc, even though we spent just 18 days due to the extremely bad weather. After arriving by Ferryboat, it started already raining from the first minute, but became better during the fellowing days until the heavy thunderstorm from the Canarian Island came across. Even the interstates were totally floaded while we were trying to push our bikes through the Atlas Mountains on our way to Imilchil. But we had to let it go, because of the floads coming down into the valley and were floading all ways. We never thought of crisscrossing a River that often with waterdeepness of up to 70cm.
Moreover we had to sleep that night in a hotel with two bustours, who were also "stranded". All roads were that afternoon impassable. Nevertheless we continued our trip to Erfoud and expierenced a teriffic natural wonder. For eight years no rain in Erfound, but as we arrived there, it started raining like hell with ankle deep mud, rainbows, red lighted dunes in the sunset. Absolutly beautiful !!! Continuing our trip from there with our new friends, drinving a Landrover Defender, we became more encouraged and went for the southern piste from Zagora to Foum Zguid. 167 km af Desert driving. What a fun! But Lake Iriki (Great Salt Lake) was also still muddy. The rain was our third company and did not leave us alone or came back suddenly and even heavier. From Plage Blanche was quite good driving until we reached the highest point of our journey at 2700m above sealevel. SNOW and the skilifts were still running.
The sun was then in Spain, where Christof and I relaxed for a couple of days, while "La Gazelle" and Christian headed north back home. What fantastic trip with magnific natural impressions.
