CHANCEL ARCH
The chancel arch separating the chancel from the nave is the only original Norman feature now remaining in the interior of the Church. The head is semi-circular with a chevron design on the outer face and a notched hood moulding. The arch springs from scalloped capitals with a star pattern on the abaci. These are carried on three half round columns on rectangular plinths. The arch is plain on its inner face towards the chancel.
