Fortingall is one of the most attractive villages in Scotland. It is an ancient site with a fascinating history of occupation going back to Roman times and beyond. However, the current layout and appearance owes much to the work carried out at the end of the 18th century by Sir Donald Currie and his architect James Marjoriebanks MacLaren, and successors, Dunn and Watson.
