Very deserving of it.

Not too original by our standards, but it kicks ass. Definitely ass.

Robots vs. Women in suits. Duh! And they go on rampages too.

The perverted Mackie, and the hapless AD police officer Leon. Well, that's really all there is in the first two, but things lighten up a lot later, especially the eighth episode.
Bubblegum Crisis... One of the greatest anime of all time. If you don't know about it, you ought to try to learn about it. This thing is about four women in cyber suits who save the world from robots called boomers.... but they do it for money, so you know these women are smart. It's pretty old, but at the time it was made, it was pretty big, and it still is... though not as big as you would think. It's filled with blood, guts, and apparently, oil. It's not sickeningly violent, and it's full of some fun, uh.. stuff. There is some sexual innuendo and often people go into discussions about whether or not (insert girl's name here) is gay or just bi. Despite that, it's still pretty entertaining. That plus I have no idea why people think some of the girls aren't straight... it gets pretty odd, and you have to think of certain actions with a mind focused purely on those thoughts to see it. Pretty dumb actually.
Put in a nutshell, the action's dramatic and intense, and so is the plot. There's comedy in there too, and the music is still the best EVER in the history of anime. Look around, you can't beat it (opinion).
