Ninja Cadets, not to be confused with Ninja Scroll or any other anime that starts with the word ninja, is full of humor and action, the action not going farther than coughing up a pint of blood or being sliced in half very quickly.  The character designs and backgrounds are very reminiscent of Tenchi Muyo! but this has pretty much no connection to Pioneer at all.  Although it seemingly takes place in a Japanese ninja era of dynasties and such, there are mechanical robots!  Think of the movie Wild Wild West and it's sort of like that, but with ninjas, and in Japan.  It's all about a group of ninjas who go on a quest to find a scroll from a castle far away as part of their training.  On the way, they are attacked by monsters and stalked by a small group of people who are trying to capture the princess of a kingdom who was hidden away and raised as a ninja.  That princess is within the group of ninjas heading for the castle.  There's lots of fun, Tenchi-style fun, and action, ninja action with half the violence of Ninja Scroll.  75% at most.  It's actually pretty good, and I sure hope there's more.  I only got to watch two episodes, but it seems like the ending of the second episode leans toward there being more to the story.  I really don't know where to find more.  I'd like to though.  This will continue later!

*Update:3-24-2001*
No, it will not continue, those 2 eps. were the only two eps.  That really sucks.  It was so perfect....

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
