Magical Project S
"Pretty Mutation Magical Recall!"

Episodes Reviewed: 10-26, subbed

Overall Grade: A+
So much fun and never disappointing. There's even an episode that pokes fun at Power Rangers (Blue Sky Cool Rangers)!

Storyline: 10
A complete parody of transforming girls series like Sailor Moon.  Sasami Kawai is Magical Girl Pretty Sammy, with a talking cabbit named Ryo-Ohki, and she must defeat Love-Love Monsters created by her rival, Pixy Misa.  She doesn't know that Pixy Misa's true identitiy is that of her best friend, Misao.  And no, that is not a spoiler.

Genre: Action/Comedy
More Comedy than Action

Ch. Development: 10
Not like it matters, that's not what we watch it for.

Sexuality: 2
Not as much as the originals.

Romance: 5
No Ayeka, No Ryoko!  And.... No Tenchi!  Well, not at first.  Oh, but there is the kind of romance you'd expect from elementary school kids.

Drama: 5
There's a nice amount of drama in the battles... well that's really a lie.  But the drama sure picks up near the end... quicker than usual at the 19th episode.

Action: 5
Fun girly powers fighting.

Comedy:10
I couldn't stop laughing at the single Project S tape i rented! (Need Tenchi)  After my sister bought three more tapes, there was more laughing and more wasted time.  Finally, I bought the final tape.  The focus is definitely on comedy.

Tenchi Muyo!  has yet another spinoff, this time the star is Sasami, the cute girl with Usagi hairdo.  She is the Magical Girl Pretty Sammy, who saves something... from Love-Love Monsters and normal problems.  Her full name is Sasami Kawaii, and she lives with her father Ginjii, and mother, Hinoko.

Mihoshi and Kiyone are both teachers at Sasami's school.  BTW, we are introduced to several new characters: Sasami's classmates, Hiroto, Konoha, Kenji; plus a number of other extras.

Tsunami is to be queen of Juraihelm as long as some sort of balance is kept in balance.  Otherwise, it will belong to this other woman, Rumiya, who created Pixy Misa to make the balance off.  BTW, Tenchi was director of a Power Rangers-like show called the Blue Sky Cool Rangers, Washu is a genius, but not obsessed with destruction, Ayeka is now Romio, the third candidate to become Queen of Juraihelm, and Ryoko, well, she's Tsunami's secret guard, "Overly-Splended Oryo."  I think that the Tenchi series needed exactly this: Ryoko being on the side of good and Ayeka being bent on total destruction.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
