End of Summer

Episodes Reviewed: 1, subbed

Overall Grade:B-
Plot isn't too thin, it's actually pretty interesting, and who knows, maybe it's actually due to the curse that anime based on games just plain suck!

Storyline: 7
Yeah, that's right, 7!  Guy likes girl, guy tries to get girl, other guys and girls say that there's no chance, guy gets girl, all is well.

Genre: Comedy/Hentai
Okay, I'm screwed.

Ch. Development: 7
I only watched the first episode, but I already know quite a bit about the characters and know it by heart.  Take that!

Sexuality:10
Okay, this is obvious.  In the first episode, there is only one sex scene, and one other nudity scene.

Romance: 9
Okay, Sexuality and Romance are two different things.  Luckily, Romance got up almost as high as Sexuality, which makes things look good for me.  Yes, there are true feelings of love here, not like the crap you'd think of when you think hentai.  Wait, screw that, there is that crap here as well.

Drama:4
Okay very little, but there is a bunch of emotional drama.

Action: 1
Very little, but there is sports action! Also very little when it comes to that but there is, well, you know what kind of action!

Comedy: 8
This was a pretty funny anime!  I'm not sure why, I can't remember, but there were some  funny moments in there.

Well, well.  Some of you might be wondering why I have a hentai flick here.  Well, it all happenned at a dismal period of my life, when nothing was going good for me, and I was under the pressure of constant work from school.  It took me two long nights, but, hey, wait... two long nights, played Digimon World all night, oh, it was during summer vacation!  Well, looks like I have no good reason for this.  I'm dead.

Well, I'll tell you anyway.  I remembered once finding a video called End of Summer at the Reno mall that I went to, I believe it was the Meadowwood Mall, and I looked it up on the internet.  It was apparently classified as a hentai flick.  It seemed harmless enough when I was reading the back of the tape, though.  Well, one day, I just decided to find myself a sample of End of Summer on the internet.  I of course had to go through a hentai site to get there.  Well, I downloaded an episode, which was a vivo file that was fragmented into 8 different parts.  It took up some space on my HD, and I had to download both a Vivo player and WinRar to uncompress it, but it was definitely worth it.

This is a story about a guy who tries to win the heart of a girl.  Both names I no longer remember (I think it was a guy named Wataru after a girl named, uh, was it Mai?  Maybe May?  I think it's something like that), but I do remember how the song played at the beginning went.  Let's see, I think it went like "Wake up to your life", and then went into japanese words.  Now you people who watched it know I watched it.... or at least the first 3 minutes.  In episode one, he gets a date with the girl he loves, but on the way, he has to deal with another girl who always made fun of him because of his perverse and pathetic ways.  He ends up having sex with her, but there was a touching story going on before that happenned.  She was a runner, and she sprained her knee.  Her parents said that she had to lay off whatever racing she was doing, but she had to reach for her dream.  After consoling her, and helping her home, they do it.  There may be a sex scene, but other than that, it's a nice story, and it's not like other hentai series where sex scenes are unavoidable.  Just stop the tape before you get to the sex scene at the end of the episode.  Believe me, that's the end.  Don't call me a pervert; you may not believe me, but I actually moved the Vivo player offscreen when the sequence started!  I never could tell if it was detailed or not, so I can't tell you much more.

YamiD50: Today's Feb. 9, and I'm here to talk about how much I regretted doing that.  After deleting those files and not seeing the good stuff, there was no reason to go through all that trouble!  But at least it's a good anime.

That's My Story and I'm Sticking to it!

(Gawd I hope I don't get in trouble)
