Heroic Legend of Arislan
Episodes Reviewed: Video 1, dubbed

Overall Grade: A
An RPG-style adventure set in medieval times.  It combined the two things I like most, and for that, I give it an A.  Of course, the dubbing job wasn't as good.

Storyline: 9
Sent to a battle they could not win, a king is captured by a man looking for revenge.  The prince escapes and seeks help needed to return to his kingdom and defeat the evil plaguing it.

Type: Action
Action! <gunshots> Reload! Action!
This has been a homage to the Time Crisis series.

Ch. Development: 6
Just trust me this time.

Sexuality: 5
There is some sexuality, some remarks, some humor.  There's a scene where a boy dresses up like a girl to trick a soldier.

Romance: 2
As of now... eh?  I dunno, I thik there was some.

Drama: 5
There was some drama, and I could've cried if I were a total wuss.  Nothing that was the calibur of, oh, say, Kurt Angle's match against Booker T when he won the WCW title.

Action: 5
Violence, yes.  Grim scene of pre-modern imprisoning methods, sadly yes.

Comedy: 4
See the scene described in "Sexuality."

Dub

Dub Voices: 3
I wasn't too wild about the voices.  The whole "English" thing may sound historically correct, but I don't want that!

Dub Music:  N/A

Dub Lines:   6
If the voices weren't enough, the dialogue sounded english too!

Censorship: ??

Heroic Legend of Arislan really felt like an RPG.  A prince seeks help from defferent people with different abilities.  Along with that, there's a deep plot of revenge and conspiracy.  That in itself gives me some kind of feeling resembling anger when I watched it.  Wait, I meant that the people conspiring for revenge gave me that anger.  Either way, it's not usual for me to feel that way about something.  It was like, um... I don't know!  All I can gell you is that the plot was interesting enough for me to go through it without fastforwarding in boredom.  That is actually saying something.  Of course, I can't wait to get my hands on the conclusion of this story, so it must be good.  Now, I'm actually finished, but this paragraph seems so pathetic, so...  screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders screw Flanders, screw Flanders screw Flanders

That's My Story and I'm Sticking to it!
