Agent Aika
Episodes Reviewed: 1-2, dubbed
Overall Grade: C
Um... different plot, strange happenings, fanservice galore. Still, I've seen much worse.
Storyline: 3
Not much story-wise. Basically, Aika goes on different missions, but during the first episode, she crashes and is captured by the enemy.
Type: Fan-Service
It's sole purpose is to serve the perverts of Japan and America.
Ch. Development: 00
None. Maybe some, but I've only seen the first two eps.
Sexuality: 8
You don't believe me? This is rated 8 by D50 for fanservice, nudity, and sexual scenes.
Romance: 2
I suppose it could happen.
Drama: 2
Usually only one dramatic scene per episode.
Action: 4
Violence-wise, only some fighting and gunplay, but this rating could change on your definition of "Action."
Comedy: 8
If there's one thing this anime is good at, it's a good laugh.
Dub
Dub Voices: 9
Very excellent. Although at times, it's funny, and strange, I like that.
Dub Music: N/A
Censorship: Shyeah, right.
As if this would even survive editing. There's a panty-shot every few seconds!!
Agent Aika is one strange anime. There's fan-service everywhere, nudity, sexual themes, a weapon that would do the opposite of what it should if this were a hentai, and some more fan-service. In the first episode, we start things off with a few panty-shots, then some suggestive shots, then the two main women are attacked by countless agents in short skirts. Panty-shots everywhere for several minutes. We are then introduced to the main female villain, who happens to be wearing her underwear all the time while only wearing a coat over that. What's funny about this scene is that she puts all the knocked-out agents into a pile, making a huge pile of agents, and pretty much all you see are their panties! Gawd, I cracked up big-time! Then, there's a shower scene, then panty-shots while in a plane, then they get in trouble, causing some sort of magical vest to transform into a shape-shifting metal thingy that transforms Aika into an alternate being with super powers and control over her metal costume. Okay, just to make you understand...: Aika has a special vest which activates whenever she is in trouble. This vest will transform into a metallic substance which will start a transformation sequence. First, the metal shapeshifts into a tentacle-like shape and strips Aika, then the metal becomes her clothes, and Aika is knocked out, causing her alternate form to take over. Her alternate form is different from Aika, and she has the ability to control what the liquid metal does; in the case of the first episode, she uses it to make the motor of her plane run. Now, that was just the first episode. The second episode, named Naked Mission, has Aika and her partner of sorts naked for much of the first half of the episode. After that it's back to the panty-shots. Of course, to make things worse, we are introduced to a mad scientist who is an effeminate-looking man; and it's even worse than Kuja of Final Fantasy IX. Even worse, the scientist sleeps with his own sister, the evil villain who wears only her underwear and a coat. So, the first episode sets things up for the second episode, which is basically just the two main women trying to escape the ship they're held in, but they're still trapped and must escape in the third episode, and I'm hoping that there isn't much after that. Now, I hope that this experience is good enough to ready me for Plastic Little, which I heard is probably worse fan-service-wise.
That's my Story and I'm Sticking to it!
