Roujin Z
Episodes Reviewed: N/A, dubbed

Overall Grade: B
Above average movie.  From the director of Akira, but much more enjoyable in my own opinion.  Funnier and not much blood.

Storyline: 7
A girl named, ... ... uh... ... I think there's an N in there... *ahem* A girl works as a nurse for an elderly man, but that old guy is chosen as a test subject for a corporation's invention; a mechanical bed that can take care of the elderly's every need.  Well, almost.

Type: Action/Comedy
But more comedy than action.

Ch. Development: N/A

Sexuality: 4
Just some remarks and themes.  And one scene, but it doesn't count; it's like a "day after" scene.

Romance: 2
There are some themes of romance, but very very little.

Drama: 4
Nothing really dramatic to me, nothing really cool or anything.  Nothing to get worked up about enough to own it.  Now, I say that this is more enjoyable than Akira, but Akira is better to own.  Roujin Z doesn't have something that Akira has, but I'm not sure what exactly it is.

Action: 4
Some destruction, but almost no blood.

Comedy: 8
Plenty of fun and comedy.  The ending is funny and somewhat ridiculous, but that's what I like.

Dub
Dub Voices: 8
Good, not great.  Wait... an 8.... yep, great, not spectacular.

Dub Music: nonexistent
I don't really think I need this for most anime.

Dub Lines: 7
So... many.... abbreviations.... must.... stop...

Censorship:
Thankfully, they covered up the old man's genitailia.

Okay... so a girl takes care of an old guy, but the guy is chosen for a company's newest invention because he has his family's consent.  But there are secrets in that bed he's in.  The bed also doubles as a military defense prototype and has more abilities than most think.  When the girl starts to get messages from the old guy and starts to worry, she turns to other old guys with computers who happen to be veteran hackers.  They hack into the bed's system and take control, then eventually lose control, but not in a bad way.  The bed starts to absorb other materials and heads to the nearby beach.  How does the evil man who knows the secrets of the invention decide to handle the problem? Not peacefully, that's for sure.

What did I think of this?  Well, it's loaded with fun and is enjoyable, and the dubbing is OK.  However, Roujin Z lacks a certain factor of kickassedness that it so desperately needs.  That's my word for it.  Kickassedness.  That's Kick-ass-ed-ness.  The factor that explains how much something kicks ass.  And this doesn't kick ass.  It's above average, but not spectacular.  Don't buy unless you rented it and watched it several times and thought that you loved it that much.  Other than that, very good.

That's my Story and I'm Sticking to it!
