Dominion Tank Police
Episodes Reviewed: Acts 1 and 2, dubbed, Acts 2 and 3, subbed
Overall Grade: B-
It was pretty entertaining, and since it left a nice political message at the end of the first video during a time where, well, you couldn't escape the whole terrorist issue thing, it was nice.
Storyline: 7
Okay, this is a time in the future where the police have an elite force of tank-driving men and woman (that's right, no plural) to clean up the town. Also, a deadly bacteria cloud has been up there for generations, so it's normal to them. For some odd reason, this big shot guy and his two female sidekicks take on a job involving the theft of urine from healthy people uncontaminated by the bacteria cloud. Why I don't know yet, but it's up to the Tank Police to stop him as well as other bad guys. Our main character is a girl whose name I can't remember, and that's all for now.
Type: Action/Comedy
Ch. Development: 5
It's a guess. Educated guess. The girl did change quite a bit during the first video.
Sexuality: 7
Some nudity and themes, etc. Also some vulgar-ass humor such as the... multi-colored, uh, thingys... I just can't visualize it too much.
Romance: 5
If anything, subtle hints, etc. etc.
Drama: 7
Yeah, the personal struggles of characters, the kickassedness of the action and tanks, the other stuff. A 7.
Action: 6
Action, destruction. You get it. There's tanks. Tanks are everywhere and they're normal. Also gnplay.
Comedy: 7
There were some hilarious moments. Not too light-hearted all around, but it is normal light-hearted all around!
Dub
Dub Voices: 9
I suppose that they all sounded this level during the 80's.
Dub Music: 6
"Tank Police" is the only dub music from the 80's I enjoyed.
Dub Lines: 10
The way it ought to be. Nothing lame or anything. DBZ on the other hand... oh gawd why do I always have to get DBZ sucked into this?
Censorship: N/A
Nothing. I haven't seen this anywhere else.
Okay, so Dominion Tank Police is the story of a girl whose name I don't remember joining the ranks of the elite Tank Police Force which until now have had only guys. Though the mayor sure doesn't like the idea of tanks being used for protection, I have to say that she is so annoying that nobody would take her side. Anyway, the girl gets in trouble when she wrecks a prize custom tank as well as a good portion of the city while trying to get at a gang who stole important medical stuff. To earn respect, she diceds to transform the huge tank she destroyed into something she can use: a deadly tough tank that's small and compact; one she can use. How this will progress I don't know quite yet, but I do know that Dominion Tank Police will be at the top of my list of things to rent at Hollywood Video, now that I have rented out all of the Ranma tapes.
That's my Story and I'm Sticking to it!
