Ranma 1/2 the Movie 2: Nihao my Concubine
Episodes Reviewed:N/A

Overall Grade: B
Not quite as good as the first movie, though it did have its good points.  Basically I was annoyed at the HUGE amount of fanservice early on.  It's just not Ranma-quality fanservice, so there might as well not be fanservice at all.

Storyline:  5
Start with Ranma 1/2 the Movie: Big Trouble in Nekonron, China, then add in a chunk of Gilligan's Island, a cup of the gawdawful Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?, and finally sprinkle Ranma 1/2 series all over it and mix.
Ranma and the gang get shipwrecked on a island.  First Kasumi, then the other women shipwrecked are captured.  Prince Toma of the Togenkyo floating Island is behind this and threatens that unless he gets the women as potential candidates for a wife (or, a concubine, heh heh), they are poured with Togenkyo sacred water which turns anything into a man.  As in FULL man.  As in a cure to the dreaded Jusenkyo curse!!  That's right- not only do Ranma, Mousse, Ryoga, and the rest of the men have to save the Tendo sisters, Shampoo, and Ukyo; they also want that Togenkyo water!!  With the duty of saving beautiful women and the cure to the Jusenkyo curse, how can these martial artists lose?  Well, there are powerful martial artists there too, y'know.  Oh, by the way, just take a wild guess as to who Toma decides to choose as his bride?

Type: Action/Romantic Comedy

Ch. Development: N/A

Sexuality: 6
Fanservice; a lot of it.  Brief nudity (involving Ranma and Happosai, no doubt, the dirty old lech).

Romance: 7
Out of all I've ever seen, this is the most romance I've ever seen in the Ranma storylines.  It also finally managed to make me feel an overwhelming amount of pity for Mousse.

Drama: 7
You'd think that the final battle between Ranma and Toma would be the most dramatic, but it's not.  No, rather, I believe that it just has to be the battle between Mousse and Toristan.  Sad to think that Shampoo still won't give that much a damn for the guy.

Action: 6
Martial arts mayhem, no blood.

Comedy: 10
You will laugh at least once.  I guarantee it. (please don't sue me, Ross corporation!)

Dub
Dub Voices: 10
Best I've heard.

Dub Music: n/a

Dub Lines: 10
Not perfect, but if it were perfect it wouldn't sound right.

Censorship: ??
Perhaps in some distant year... like maybe 2004.  Just before the plausible release of PS3.

Is this movie worth watching?  Yes.  Should you buy it right away?  Rent it first to see fi you like it.  Is this an entertaining Ranma experience?  Yes.  So, do Male-type and Female-type Ranma finally get it on?  No, and get outta here, 'cause you don't know nothin' 'bout Ranma.  Just kidding.  OK.  Do so and so finally....?   No.  Remember, after each of the movies, the characters don't really develop any nor does anything change.  As a stand-alone movie... not that good.  Like I said so many times before... try before you buy.

That's my Story and I'm Sticking to it!
