Cowboy Bebop

Episodes Reviewed: 1-2, 5, 13-14, 23-25
At some point in my life I valued the amount of time I slept at night.

Overall Grade: A
From what I saw, this is pretty good.  Very good balance of action, comedy, and drama.

Storyline: 8
From what I have seen (and it isn't enough), the two main characters, Spike and Jet, are bounty hunters (much unlike Gene and Jim of Outlaw Star, whom several commercials I've seen claim them and the others in the series to be) and are out looking for money... for understandable reasons... they want money.  During their journeys, they meet interesting characters that definitely add to the fun level of the series.  Having not seen several key episodes I don't know why they tag along, but whatever the reason it should be clear that every character has something going on in their life that seperates them from the rest of the gang, but that problem doesn't really present itself till near the end.

Type: Perfect Balance
The perfect balance of drama, action, and comedy.  Now, starting at this date, I shall refer to all series that have this perfect balance as a perfect balance type.  I will also update previous series and movies with this type.

Ch. Development: 10
I don't really think that this needs an explaination.

Sexuality: 4
Hey, a few shower scenes, some skimpy dresses... basically just an average amount.

Romance: 6
Romance is one of the key themes, but it doesn't shove itself in your face allthroughout the series.  Just how I like it.

Drama: 6
Drama is also one of the key themes, and it pops up in spots in the first few episodes, then comes in full force near the end (duh!)

Action: 5
Plenty of that, but action coincides with violence, so it's not a 6.  That, plus I don't want the sign of the beast on my site.

Comedy: 7
Plenty enough to keep you feeling better after dramatic scenes throughout the series.

Dub
Dub Voices: 10
Never before have I heard dub voices this good.... well, never before have I heard dub voices this good in an anime with the words "Cowboy" and "Bebop" in the title.

Dub Music: N/A

Dub Lines: 10
Nice!

Censorship: Unknown
Unlike what I have put down on other reviews, I'm actually working on it!

What can be said about Cowboy Bebop that hasn't been said before?  Not knowing the answer to that question, I decide to pull stuff off the top of my mind and say the following: it's funny, it's dramatic, it's action-packed, it never fails to please, and so far I haven't fallen asleep while watching it.  I like the characters, I like the music, and... whatever else there is I like it.  My only gripe is that I'm forced to watch it at around midnight on the Cartoon Network.  But, it's an O-K sacrifice for a class-A anime.

That's my Story and I'm Sticking to it!
