Those Who Hunt Elves
Episodes Reviewed: 1-6, DVD
Overall Grade: C
A nice, solid grade.
Storyline: 8
Not really good if it was serious, but as an insanity anime, it's an 8. *ahem* A legend says that when the world is in peril, three warriors from another world and their cannon of miracles will appear and smite evil. Somehow, in this world of warriors and sorcerors, a martial arts expert, Junpei, an actress, Airi, a military otaku girl, Ritsuko, and Ritsuko's tank appear from our world. Together they are an unbeatable force... but too bad they're not the warriors of legend. Instead, they are on a mission to find their way back to Japan by finding fragments of the spell that is needed to send them back... Those fragments are written on five different elves, and the only way to get them... is to strip every single elf they come across and check if they have a fragment of the spell!! Insanity ensues as our three heroes (can we call them that?) travel around solving problems and creating even bigger ones for the poor elves of the world.
Type: Comedy
Ch. Development: Unknown
Very little so far. I really hope this isn't a TV series.
Sexuality: 6
Have you read the storyline? They're on a mission to strip every elf they come across! But I guess I should also say that no details are shown... I'm suspecting it's a TV series.
Romance: 4
An obvious crush is the most romance seen.
Drama: 4
It almost seems as if the drama here is accidental or if it was just added in there for who knows why. It could do without it if the point was to make people laugh.
Action: 6
There's plenty of action in there for those who want it. Most of it is fights with Junpei against whatever enemies come across.
Comedy: 7
Not quite enough considering the storyline though.
Dub not seen
Insane. This plot is insane, and yet there are some serious (sometimes not even short) events in there. If the anime was dedicated purely for comedic effect, this thing would have like a B or even an A-, but making it somewhat well-rounded makes it lose some points with me, as it can get a little boring despite the... insanity. If you think about it, the episodes can seem a little repetitive. So... the best way to watch this anime is to not expect what you may have been expecting, and to not think much.
That's my Story and I'm Sticking to it!
