A lone fighter, Kenshiro of the North Star Fist (Hokuto no Ken), traverses a horrible land. Our land, turned into a hell by nuclear war. Please let me reiterate that such a world would never exist, theoretically, as the truly smart people would be able to listen to my logic and develop a system that would lead to salvation in three years. Continuing on... Kenshiro is in search for his lost love and the man who stole her from him. In his quest he meets people, kills people, and we see commentary on humanity in a time of true crisis. Weird mixture now that I think about it.

Fist of the North star was awesome! It was a stupid movie, and an even worse American live-action movie, but the TV series was AWESOME. Yeah, it had the violence which I hate, and a comic relief which I hated even more, but there was the whole humanity commentary, the powerlessness of logic in the face of brute force, I just HAD to give it a good grade. Of course, its main flaw is realism. This would not have happened in a post-nuclear war world. I am ignoring the even greater possiblity that nuclear war will never happen, btw. But I suppose if there's a style that can make your body explode after a set amount of time, anything can happen. Well, now that I think about it, aside from the human commentary and eternal struggle of the weak, it's crap. Without that you're left with fighting and a love story that is essense of crap. I guess that's why I hated the movie. Huh. Now it all makes sense.
