GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #20:

Hollywood is a strong, silent guy, member of the Commandeers (a resistance movement on Earth trying to rebuild after the Badoon invasion) We learn nothing about him except his name.

Hollywood is assigned to guard the injured Vance Astro. We learn that he has a grudge against Vance for carrying Cap's shield into battle, but we aren't told why. We do learn that he is super strong, and invulnerable to weapons fire.

Dr. Strange (now the Ancient One) convinces Hollywood to give Vance a transfusion of his ionic blood to save his life.

Hollywood is revealed as Simon Williams aka Wonder Man, and he makes peace with Vance, saying Cap would be honoured to know that such a good man was carrying his shield.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #36:

Hollywood joins the new Galactic Guardians that Martinex is forming at Mainframe's world.

The Galactic Guardians, on their way to help the Guardians of the Galaxy, run into some weird spatial anomaly.

The anomaly was created by some alien who is thinks all life is a plague, and is trying to kill the universe. Hollywood (among others) are infected, but is cured by the Phoenix.

Both teams of Guardians team up against Dormammu. Also, Rita Demara (the female Yellowjacket, who stowed away to the future and joined the Guardians) runs into Simon. We learn that these two (in this timeline) have some kind of personal history, probably romantic/sexual. Of course, since Rita is from OUR timeline, she has no memory of this.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #45:

Both teams battle and defeat Dormammu; Hollywood asks Rita and the Guardians to return to Earth and check on the Commandeers..as a personal favour.

Hollywood learns that Doom is responsible for the death of the Commandeers. Simon blames himself for not being there, and takes off on a Doomquest, to find Doom (whose brain has been implanted inside Wolverine's skeleton!) and make him pay.

Simon is continuing his Doomquest, but so far is having no luck. We learn that someone is following Simon.

Simon talks to some powerful alien about Doom. When Slagg refuses to tell him anything, Simon beats him up. Slagg tells him that he doesn't know where Doom is. Simon leaves, and Slagg vows revenge against all the Guardians for Simon's attack on him.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #47:
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #48:

Simon is led into a trap. He thinks he is seeing someone with info about Doom, but instead, is attacked by Overkill the Stark warrior who has been stalking Simon for the past several issues.

The entire issue is Simon's battle against Overkill. The Stark warrior Overkill realizes that he can't beat Simon, so he sets himself to auto-destruct. In order to prevent the explosion from harming others (the power source in Overkill's armour is going to make a VERY big explosion) Simon grabs him in a bear hug in order to block most of the detonation with his body. Overkill explodes, and a battered but still standing Simon flies off to continue his Doomquest.

GALACTIC GUARDIANS #1-4:

Simon's Doomquest is stopped when Mainframe teleports him all the way back to Neptune, because the Galactic Guardians need him. Simon is furious, because this is the second time that Vision has teleported him away in the middle of something important. We learn that Wonder Man was leading the final battle against the Martians during the War Of The Worlds, when Vision suddenly teleported him away because Vizh believed there was no chance for victory. By the time Simon managed to return to Earth, the battle was over, and all of Earth's heroes were dead. Simon never forgave Vision, and now, attacks Vision for daring to do it again. Their fight is interrupted by the threat that Mainframe tried to warn him about. The two of them team up long enough to defeat him, but then a furious Simon departs and tells Mainframe to stay the hell away from him for at least another 1000 years.

Starhawk comes seeking Simon's knowledge on a personal matter. Simon is not happy about being disturbed, but grudgingly answers his questions. We also learn that Simon holds a grudge against the Silver Surfer for abandoning Earth during the War Of The Worlds, and if he ever sees him again, he is a target. To repay Simon for his help, Starhawk gives him a clue as to Doom's whereabouts.

Hollywood returns to help the Guardians in a mission to travel back in time to prevent the War Of The Worlds.

Guardians of the Galaxy #62 was the final issue of the series. Hollywood briefly appeared in issue #68 of New Warriors guest starring the Guardians.
