Biography
Michael Andrew Fox was born on June 9th 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He has a brother called Steven and three sisters Karen, Jackie and Kelli.
His first love was ice hockey. He made the Peewee and Junior Leagues. Due to his height, then only 4'9 he decided it was best to quit.
After he got the role in Leo and Me he became hooked on acting and decided to quit school.It wasn't until 1994 that he completed his high school diploma.
His first movie was 'Midnight Madness' a disney film made in 1980 then came the Tv series Palmerstown U.S.A. That lasted for 2 series. In 1981 he shot his second film Class of 84
In 1982 he got his big break. He got the role of Alex P. Keaton.Family Ties ran from September to May 14 1989. During this time he shot Back to the Future1+2. Need I say anymore?
He married actress Tracy Pollen on July 16 1988. They had met working together on Family Ties. On May 30 1989 they had their first child - Sam Michael. Then on Feburary 15 1995 Tracy gave birth to twin girls Aquinnah Kathleen and Schulyer Francess.
In 1990 he shot Back To The Future 3. Then in 1991 he shot Doc Hollywood. It was on this set that he first started to suffer from Parkinson's disease.
In 1996 he starred in new sitcom Spin City as Deputy Mayor, Michael Flaherty. From his own production company 'Lottery Hill Entertainments'. After series 4 he decided to leave due to Parkinsons. He is still the shows Excecutive Producer.
Recently he starred in Stuart Little as the voice of Stuart Little. I have just heard that Stuart Little 2 is going into production.
He is also fighting to find a cure of Parkinson's.
