(An 8,000-ton cooling system is designed to lower the temperature in some seating areas and concourses.) </div> <bR> <div> Instead, the roof is used to keep the sun off the stands and concrete structure during the 100-degree-plus summer days, and is sometimes opened at night to allow air circulation and heat loss to the desert sky. </div> <div> To enable the grass to survive, the roof is not totally closed during daylight hours, but is operated to create a moving band of sun on the field to permit photosynthesis. </div> <bR> <div> At least on paper, this sounds more workable than the Astrodome's unsuccessful experiment with growing grass indoors. </div> <bR> <div> Taking a cue from minor-league parks that feature hot tubs overlooking the field, BOB has a swimming pool in the outfield. </div> <bR> <div> Situated not far from downtown Phoenix and the airport, BOB is located a block away from the America West Arena, and, curiously, the park itself looks similar to a basketball or hockey facility. </div> <bR> <div> Source- The Idea Logical Company</div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
