Things have improved since then. A sports bar, dinner club, and a bevy of fast food stands make the arena user-friendly. </div> <div> Located in the heart of downtown, the HSBC Arena is home to the NHL's Buffalo Sabres, a powerhouse hockey team. Secondary sports teams including the Blizzard (soccer), Bandits (lacrosse), and Destroyers (arena football) attract sports fans throughout the year. </div> <bR> <div> The HSBC Arena also hosts some of the world's top musical acts. Bruce Springsteen, Garth Brooks and Celine Dion have all played to sold-out crowds.
