Featuring a retractable roof, the SkyDome opened in June 1989.

The multi-purpose stadium is a pitcher's park, with deep power alleys (375') and lots of foul territory.

The park's popularity enabled the Blue Jays to set an AL attendance record in 1989.

The SkyDome features baseball's largest scoreboard, 110' wide and 33' high, and includes a restaurant and a miniature golf course.

The stadium is located just to the south and west of the CN Tower, between John Street and Blue Jays Way.
Also located in the building is SkyDome Hotel, a 348-room hotel with 70 rooms overlooking the field.

Jose Canseco hit a memorable 480' home run into the uppermost deck in Game Three of the 1989 LCS.

Since moving to Skydome, the Blue Jays have qualified for four ALCS appearances and won two World Series championships, including the 1993 title when Joe Carter hit the Series-winning home run at Skydome in Game 6.
Entering the 1999 season, the Blue Jays have an all-time record of 423-348 in Skydome.
