my faithful fuzzy friend
with no reasons to pretend
 she's a lively ball of energy
with obedience and loyalty

finds pleasure in a friendly pat
snuggling warmly in my lap
likes a little tummy rub 
but doesn't care much for the tub

she's a tiny little bundle
always ready for a cuddle
if a snack's around she begs 
by posing on her hind legs

enjoys a ride in the car
it doesn't have to be very far
prefers the wind blowing in her hair
even when the weather's not fair

loves sleeping day or night
her soft basket for her just right
bounces around when she's awake
so alert make no mistake

her mommy's little girl for 14 years
even when the old age nears
a special treasure so unique
the best friend every human seek
