And more........ Kerkrade square, inside the stadium, the talent show!!!
Well done
everyone on the silver medal won at the World Music Competitions in Kerkrade,
Holland and so close to the gold! Next time!! The show this year was at a
good level of difficulty and the Carmina Burana music by Carl Orff sounded
brilliant, if anyone dosen't know this music, part of it is O Fortuna, Cour
D'Amours and some more samples . (I don't suppose anyone's parents have it
recorded on video or anything that I can get the music from?) Watch out for
some photos from the trip over the next few days. I don't have a lot of photos
though (although I do have some from the talent show!) so let me know if you
have any. You can either email them to me or I can come pick them up from
you so that I can scan them as we don't have band for a few weeks. Just let
me know. I hope everyone got their luggage back ok!
Click here for an exclusive release of Dum di di dum
by our very own Contri Bass! :) :) If it dosen't play directly for you, right
click on the link and choose Save Target As... This will copy the file to
your own computer and you can then play it from there.
Have a look at this Australian ad. It
was sent to me today, although I don't think the person quite realised how
familiar it would be! Have a listen to the music in it...........
There are some photos available on
korpsmuziek.nl (from page 6 of the photos from the 23rd if it dosen't
send you directly there) and fotovinders.nl.
The Fotovinders.nl site photos are very good. You can also order copies of
these photos if you want.
Check out the WMC 2005 Grand Opening game on wmc.nl.
Its on the left hand side.
Oh yes, how could I forget! If anyone wants to do a write-up of the trip,
feel free to do so and it can go up on the website! It would be great if we
could get a few stories up with photos.
Does anyone have any photos or anything from the homecoming parade in Clondalkin
village? It would also be good to hear from anyone that was there to hear
us. Thanks to Andree for the great comment in the guestbook. Thanks also to
everyone who came out to welcome us home and especially thanks to those that
helped carry the drums for us so that we could play them without our harnesses!!
