Content Guides!********* The Origin of the Leprechaun Prince *********

Me father was a king of sorts, or so the story goes;
And Mum was like an angel with lips red as the rose,
But they came from different "villages" (if i may use the word);
A leprechaun and a princess-fairy? To many, it was absurd!
Now, i cames along (quite the surprise!), a year onto the day;
When me Dad had swore his love to Mum, afores they ran away!

'A prince,' me Mum had called me, and took me then to Court;
But her winged folk took not to me, for i was not the sort,
To socialize in their circles, for i was of no wing --
But a strapping youth (a wee uncouth), not fit to be a king!
And then within a fortnight, me Da did disappears;
Leaving me with me Mum, who drowned in her tears.

Forsaken by the fairies, i then sought out the folk;
The "other little people," of whom the fairies spoke,
i was barely me prime, when i found the village square;
And watching from a regal throne, i caught a drunkard's stare,
"Who ye be?" he said to me, waving a shillegh o' gold;
"Cian, son of Cielah!" to him i bravely told.

"Cielah!?" repeated the wee folk and silence filled the glen;
"Cian?!" they quietly whispered, lookin' me o'er and then,
"My son!" the old drunk answered unable to stand on his feet;
"i'd hoped that you would find your way and that we'd chance to meet."
He then told me, he was dying and his crown o' gold did give;
To me, forever, the Leprechaun Prince, and so now i live.

A great honour was bestowed upon me this month as it was announced that I had been voted as the CG of the month. I am terribly proud of this honour and would like to add that our success in the Celtic Community is due to the hard team work and dedication of my fellow CG's, Cian, Robin, Zonker, Fergus, Red, Lionheart and Sandra. Thanks to Red for this lovely button celebrating the event.

Hello.
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?

Come on, now.
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can build your websites,
Get you on your feet again.

Relax.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts:
Can you show me the site map?

There is no pain, you're advertising.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I can't explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become fortunecity numb.

Ok.
Just a new front page now.
There'll be no more --Aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick.

Can you stand up?
I do believe you blew it. Sad.
That'll keep you going for the show.
Come on it's time to go.

There is no pain, you're advertising.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.

When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.

I have become comfortably numb.

PCCeltic Forums
The message board at the Celtic Community Centre has been a big hit with citizens. There has definitely been an increase in postings which is resulting in the need to clear the board much more often than once a month. Last week we went onto a new centrally linked board, in the FC colours. Although not as popular as the black and white message board we are used to, it works the same. The Other Celtic Communities have merged together onto the Celtic board as to reduce a duplication of postings and information. So now when you visit any of the Celtic Boards (Scottish, Irish, Celtic History, Welsh and Celtic Art), and click the Forum button, you will automatically be whisked to the Celtic Community Board. Isn't technology wonderful?

Do you have a great topic that you think should be featured on the Message Board?
Then please email them to: celtic_centre@bravenet.net

1. How long have you been on the internet? How long with Fortune City, Ballykissangel and The Celtic Community?
I discovered the internet in 1996. FortuneCity came to my attention shortly after its inception in April of 1997 and set my site there. I started in the Roswell district, but with my personal clan ties and inclination towards Celtic traditions, soon found myself hanging out often in the Ballykissangel district. The natural camaraderie and warmth that comes with people who have Celtic heritage was also a draw and I have made many good net friends within this community.

2. Tell us about yourself and your family.
I'm a 3rd generation native Californian (San Franciscan) which is a very rare commodity in this state currently, LOL! I live with my husband in the redwood forest about an hour south of San Francisco. Our acreage is on the San Lorenzo river and we are blessed to look outside and see river, trees, raccoons, deer, squirrels, great horned owls, ravens, coyote and many other critters. I raised seven children who are all happily grown and on their own. Now I have fun being grandma.
I have always had multiple interests and careers. I run a graphic/drafting design firm (Crystal Cloud Graphics established 1975); I founded and operate an international school that teaches metaphysics and focuses on kabbalah (School of Spiritual Integrity founded 1988). I've written books that are published and done published song compositions/recordings. I also have been actively involved with Scouting for years and am currently the volunteer coordinator for FortuneCity.

3. Tell us about your volunteer position at Fortune City.
I love working with the residents and volunteers at FortuneCity. Sharing ideas and ways to connect with others and guiding young people. Often times this is their first experience in volunteering; it is a joy to see people growing in their ability to communicate effectively with others. I honestly believe that what we are doing here is touching lives and making a difference. I find it very rewarding.

4. Tell us about Crystal Cloud Graphics
I have always loved to doodle. By the time I was 16 I found I could turn my doodling into $ by making election signs for kids running for school offices...that evolved into a brisk business by my senior year of sign painting and window painting for merchants...I did this kind of thing throughout college.
When I got married I got a contract to create the sets for animated holiday displays that were going into malls throughout the bay area. That was very fun but paid little money. After my first child I needed to earn some real dollars, so turned my doodling into more industrial applications of architectural design, mechanical design, and commercial graphics. Once I started to actually make enough to report ot the IRS I needed a company name. Crystal Clouds came about because of the clarity "crystal" represents and the imagination "clouds" symbolize...clarity and imagination is what is needed in communication and communicating visually is what my firm does.

5. You have started a new community about Angels. What made you decide on this topic?
I have always enjoyed winged things...the soaring, flight in the sky...winged beings from fairies to angels have always captured my imagination. Also in my experience I have felt touched by consciousness that is not within our 3 dimensional world of the 5 senses. Many people relate this consciousness to winged beings from the heavenly and elemental kingdoms. Also they are a wondrous thing to draw as one can let their imagination soar with the doodles *g*
In my experience I have met many others who also have had experiences/contact with consciousness that does not seem to fit within the rational framework of our "known" reference. I find many of these people shy about expressing their experience for fear of ridicule and/or ostrication from society. Therefore I felt a community that focuses on this form of consciousness and shares experiences would be of benefit to others. Providing a safe place for those who are touched by other consciousness or are interested in such subjects to share.

6. You have a new site called Peace Seeds. How did you come about this idea?
Oh, I am always wanting to help make the world a more harmonious place. Over the years one of the things that has bothered me the most is the way people fight, have wars, and are unkind to others because of how an individual expresses their beliefs about the Creator. I believe that people tend to fear what they do not understand, and fear breeds violence. The site therefore is a small attempt to educate people so they do not have to fear other beliefs.

7. What are the future plans for your sites?
Who knows? They will all grow and I am sure I will create new sites too. As I grow and change so do the expressions/reflections of myself change/grow. Thanks Kythera

SPECIAL FEATURE- CD MUSIC REVIEWS by Jeff Lindqvist

Here follows a review of Altan's latest album:

--------------- "Loch Altan" is the name of a lake in the northwestern part of Ireland, namely County Donegal. Altan is the name of one of the major traditional bands from that area. For those of you who don't know Altan, the members are: Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh (vocals, fiddle), Ciaran Tourish (fiddle, whistle), Dermot Byrne (box), Ciaran Curran (bouzouki), Mark Kelly (guitar) and Daithi Sproule (guitar).

After half a dozen records and a few compilations, "Another Sky" is Altan's latest release (and the third out of five on the Virgin label). 13 tracks, five of them instrumentals, the other eight being songs - three of which are beautifully sung in Irish: "Beidh Aonach Amárach" (There's A Fair Tomorrow), "Eoghainin Ó Ragadáin" and "Tíocfaidh An Samraidh" (Summer Will Come).

As always, the tunes are played at the high speed so often associated with the Donegal tradition, and very well I might add. Being a box player myself, one of my favourite tracks is "Dispute At The Crossroads", which I had the great pleasure to enjoy live during their Sweden tour earlier this spring. Lightning speed accordion, fever pitched fiddles, solid guitar and bouzouki backing spiced up with the lovely singing can't be anything but marvellous. Believe it or not, the CD features a Bob Dylan cover amongst all reels and jigs, "Girl From The North Country".
Whatever you do - please go to an Altan concert. You won't forget it.

--------------- Kind regards,
Jeff Lindqvist, Visby, Sweden
