Súgán
Who are Súgán?

Súgán are a group made up of musicians from different geographical backgrounds
(Irish, British, Galician and Basque) and at the same time they come from different musical roots (Traditional, classical, folk, pop, rock and blues).
Their repertoire combines songs with instrumentals, their own compositions based on traditional Celtic music and other influences. However, their work is arranged in accordance with the cultural plurality and styles that coexist in the group.

The group does not confine itself to a static performance- and much less ecstatic is their traditional music. Music, just like any other aspect of culture, is subjected to the same processes of change that modify the societies where it emerges. For this reason, the group does not restrict itself to a purist interpretation of tradition that would convert it into a mere object of contemplation, like a museum piece. On the other hand, taking that as a starting point, it makes it work from a present point of view and gives it a new sense.
