Kilberry and Kilberry castle

These are just a few pictures I took on the day before our return back home. Kilberry lies behind a forest hidden from the single-track road that comes up from tarbert and covers the western coast of Knapdale. There were some ancient tomb-slabs from the crusades and there is the privately owned castle. When we stayed in Dunmore court the castle had just passed from the former owner, Lady Campbell who issued a local monthly paper called "the kist" to her nephew who has four daughters as I was told and the cost for the heating made him just use 4 rooms in the castle. That was what I was told locally by a neighbour. The road carries on northward bound and shows us the islands of Jura and Gigha. A nice view but - as usual - there are no real parking facilities, so if you stop and take photographs you always impede someone.
