The trip to D.C is less than a week away! Remember, your Captain needs to know by Wednesday night whether or not you're coming, so that transportation and lodging can be arranged. Plans for the outing: Depart Blacksburg Friday, April 24th. Saturday, April 25th: Rendezvous with the D.C. chapter and other associated partners in crime. On the agenda, we have a trip to Adams-Morgan, with a possible stopover at State of the Union (a really nifty Russian-esque bar). In the evening, we'll either go hear a Rachmaninoff concert, or hit the city club scene. Sunday, April 26th: At about noon, invade the Fox studios and see where they make | |||||||||||||||||||||||

There are still several ideas in the air for the Ravens' next outing. Possibilities include hitting the Virginia Renaissance Festival in mid-May, a camping/outdoorsy expedition in Blacksburg, or a summer trip to DC. We also have vague plans far more distant: WorldCon (in Baltimore) over the summer Pennsylvania or surrounding environs, summer Maryland Ren Fest -- of course! Where else could we get more bracers? DRAGONCON. What more do I have to say? Atlanta. September 3rd to 6th. We are DEFINITELY organizing a mass invasion, and this looks like it could be the first-ever Ravens expedition with members from all four cities attending! Yes, even some of the Edmonton Ravens are going to try and make it. | If we all register together, there are two benefits. We can save $10 each person on registration, and we get nifty badges made up in advance. We're aiming to register in mid-July. Warning y'all now -- we'll need your money up front, since we all have to pay with one check. We're also looking at organizing vans for the trips down and back. Depending on the outcome of top-secret negotiations, we may be able to go in Tech-provided vans. We'll keep you posted as further developments arise.
