I have been a Marilyn fan for many years. I have always been intrigued by her, films, photos, etc. I am currently reading several books relating to Marilyn's life. I feel great sympathy and anger that Marilyn is not here with us to celebrate her 75th birthday. I think the truth should be saught about her death and an inquest should be opened, the deception has to stop. They owe it to her fans and to Marilyn's memory.

What I think about Marilyn Monroe? I think she was an intelligent woman, anyone who can think that she was just a dumb blonde surely knows nothing about her and who she was, how she lived and what she went through growing up. I am just one of her million fans that appreciates her work and understands what she felt. Sure, it was hard being "Norma Jeane" or what people know today as Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn was strong and followed her dream. She didn't just sit around and wait for it to come to her, she went after it and achieved it. If people would have payed more attention to what is inside of Marilyn, not what's outside, they probably would have understood her more and helped her find that lost person inside of her, she would have known that she wasn't alone, that she had people there for her. People only thought of Marilyn as a dumb blonde because in most of her movies she was a dumb blonde. They would never give her a part where she could show that she really was "smart". Other reasons why people thought of her as a dumb blonde was because of her body, and I assure you she really did have a nice body, but the point is she was only known as a sex symbol because of that and the way she talked. All I can say is that if she would have had a bit of more friends that she knew would always be there for her to take care of her when she was sick and help her with financial problems and disagreements with her marriages, she probably would have still been alive today with grandchildren, and also if it wasn't for that body and hard work she put in, she probably wouldn't even be known today.

OH WOW is all I have to say after seeing this website,it is one of the most marvellous things on Marilyn on the web, brava to you!! but oh I fell in love with Marilyn during a time of my life when I needed to find people to turn to, and within Marilyn I found that person after reading about her, she seemed so much like me, but uno what? She never gave up!! She never gave up, and all the spiteful things that were said about her, that's because people didn't understand her, they thought if you look perfect you have to BE perfect, well she was near perfect, but all of the troubles inside her was what made her so sad, if I was alive when she was I wish I could have been her friend, a friend to always be there for her, but I thank goodness there are fans like us today, because Marilyn's memory will never die, only be born again and again..
