I am not out to prove anything. I am not an expert on handedness or a psychologist I just want to show the wonderful world of Lefthandedness. By the way I am leftsided in almost everyway (except golf).
Now it is my turn to define lefthandedness. A lefthander is someone who uses his left hand dominantly for at least 2 major activities. Someone that is right handed but can bat lefthanded is not a lefty to me. He must throw and bat lefthanded to be qualified as a lefthander. Another example would be a soccer player that kicks leftfooted and writes lefthanded which make him or her a real lefthander.
Here is why: I find that if a person does one small thing with their left hand, they are complimented for being so versatile but everybody does somethings with either hand and they don't realize it.
Being lefthanded in a righthanded world, you have to switch to your right hand a lot to accomplish certain tasks. This makes things very awkward for lefthanders and everyone wonders why you do things lefthanded anyway. I think that a natural instinct shouldn't be surpressed as long as no one gets hurt. That might be more of history's bias, but hey it is a real view of life.
Here is a lefty pet peeve: Since computer mouses tend to be setup for righthanders, I have learned to run the mouse with my righthand. Now with CAD and artistic programs where you can draw freehand I am unable to draw properly with the righthanded mouse even if I use my lefthand. The mouse doesn't feel comfortable. So, I don't draw well on the computer and why I have no real artistry on my pages.
Here is what some personality traits of lefthanders that I have seen by observation of lefthanders (not necessarily my relatives).
Lefthanders are:
Opinionated
Irrational
Outspoken
Emotional
Arrogant
Immature
Independent
Stubborn
Creative
