Dr. Dana Scully played by Gillian Anderson was originally assigned to the X-Files to
"debunk" Mulder's work. But slowly she has come to an understanding, of sorts, with his
work, although she is far from being a true believer. She insists that everything has
a perfectly logical and scientific explanation. On many occasions Mulder, or his
cases, have lead her to question her belief.
Even though she is prepared to lie for him she still keeps notes on his activities. She
acts as a balance to Mulder's, sometimes blind, faith.
Either Scully or Gillian Anderson have gathered a large following on the Net. I'm not sure
who has gathered the following because the two names seem to be used interchangably.
