Well chances are that music wasn't coming from inside your head rather it was coming from a speaker inside the elevator. The music has a sort of jazz like sound to it and can be very soothing while heading up to the 56th floor. Not only does the elevator music make the trip worth while, but it is also the whole environment of the elevator. I mean where else in life do people all come together to head to the upper portions of a building (or in the case of going down)  and the lower part. There is very little conversation in the elevator, so that is why they put the music in the elevator. The great sound of synthesized jazz music is kind of the conversation stopper in the elevator. If an elevator doesn't have this music the ride is basically boring. An elevator without elevator music is like a car without an engine. These two depend on each other. Elevator music is the best!! I think that they should have CD's and cassettes of just nonstop elevator music. The closest thing to this would have to be a radio station in New York. While visiting a ski resort in New York I discovered the best radio station that played nothing but elevator-like music. One elevator that doesn't need elevator music is the one at the Tower of Terror at Disney, mainly because it is more of a ride than an actual elevator. When you think about it, elevator music is all around us, except it is different versions of it. I mean midi's are a lot like elevator music except with out the right notes. So I say to you, keep listening for that wonderful elevator music!!</div> <bR> <bR> <div> Got any questions?
