Biblical Insights from us
This are is dedicated to some of my personal insights to the Bible and to our member's comments on Biblical scriptures. I suggest these readings to anyone who is confused about what is to come and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. I will answer and questions anyone may have on my readings and interpretations.
We encourage anyone to read these passages and discuss them with pastors, ministers, and/or any Christian meeting. We will be adding many more sections to this area and we welcome any comments from members.
Note: These are ONLY my insights on these passages and topics, to help answer some questions. Patriot Saints do not have a set 'code of interpretations', except that there is only One God and Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he died for our sins so we may have eternal life.
About Temptation: At his weakest human moment, Jesus is tempted by the Devil. That clearly shows that anyone can be tempted by the Devil and that everyone should resist. This can be found at: Matthew 4:1-11
About Giving to those who need: Jesus Himself teaches us to help those in need, but to do it quietly, so God may see your good deeds and reward you accordingly. This can be found at Matthew 6:1-4.
About 'Eye for an Eye': There is a lot of confusion about this one. Jesus talks about the 'eye for an eye' and people take this as they have no right to self defense. This is not what Jesus meant at all!! Exodus 15:3 - "The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is his name". I show this verse for God is a man of War. The books of Kings and Samuel, and Judges show how the Lord helped the Israelites to slay their enemies. There is a story where God released an angel to kill Israel's enemies (Psalm 46) and when God tells King Saul to murder all (including all women, children, livestock) and after that Saul kills the king of the Amalekites after winning the battle against the Amalekites (1 Samuel 15:1-24). Now, what Jesus was talking about in Matthew 5 is revenge. He does not want people to take revenge on others. Revenge and hate is wrong - self defense is Godly. Paul reminds us that if you do not protect and provide for your family, you are worse than an unbeliever. So if you see your mother, brother or sister being attacked you do not have a 'divine' right to help them; you have an obligation to do so! This can be found at: Exodus 15:3, 1 Timothy 5:8, and Matthew 5:38-42.
About the Enemies of Christ and His Church: It is clear in many books of the Bible that Christians will be hated for their good deeds and love for Christ. Stand firm to the end and you will gain eternal life! This can be found at: Matthew 5:11-12, 1 Peter 3:8-17, Revelation 2:8-11, and many others.
About God and Money: Some Christians and many Catholics believe that 'not storing treasures on Earth' means being poor. God has not called his people to suffer, nor to be poor. What they mean by this is not loving the world and your worldly possessions. You may have things, but if you decide that doing things for yourself instead of going to church or buying new cars instead of helping the poor is all you do, then you love money and possessions more than doing what God wants you to do. For you see, if you love money, your love for God will grow cold. This can be found at: Matthew 6:19-24.
About Jesus' Command to All of Us: This is an interesting piece of scripture, for Jesus commands his people to spread His word and he tells the people certain gifts will accompany his disciples. I have seen a TV show where this small church in Pensacola, FL, decided to take up on these gifts and show the world that God would protect them. So they drank deadly snake poison and nothing happened. I am NOT saying that Christians should do this, but this seem to be a proof that this small church has a lot of faith in the gifts many Christians have not claimed. I strongly believe in gifts that God has entrusted us with, that we forget to claim. Christ has given us a mission and He has also given us authority! Pray about these gifts and God will show them to you. This can be found at: Mark 16:15-20, Luke 10:16-23.
About God's Immense Power: God is God! He can do whatever we ask him, if we believe in. Ask and you shall receive! This can be found at: Luke 1:37, Matthew 17:20-21
About Profession of Faith in Christ: If anyone denies Jesus for ANY REASON, Jesus will deny you in front of His Father!! Be faithful to the point of death and you shall receive the crown of life! This can be found at: Matthew 10:39, Matthew 10:28, Luke 9:26, Revelation 2:8-11, Luke 17:33, and many others verses.
About Readiness: This is crystal clear, but many Pre-Tribulation believers want to argue this one over. The Parable of the 10 Virgins is talking about physical AND spiritual preparedness. When the Antichrist comes you must be spiritually and ready for it because if you are not, then you are in trouble! And if the Antichrist prosecutes you, you must be prepared to do whatever it takes to resist him. Another part of preparedness talks about how Christians need to be ready for what is to come. Luke 22 talks about what Jesus meant on preparedness and the swords Jesus request are real. Just read all the way to verse 38 when the disciples show Jesus two physical (real) swords and he says 'that is enough'. This is NOT a spiritual sword, but a real sword, for Jesus saw the two swords and said these 2 swords are enough. I have some good articles on this topic(s) on my Articles Page. Please E-mail me and I will expand on these issues. This can be found at: Luke 22:35-38
About the Signs of The End of The Age: Another hot issue. I will quote the places where you may find these scriptures, but will not comment much. Check out my links page and the book "Three Views on the Rapture". This can be found at: Luke 21:5-36, Matthew 24:1-35, and the Book of Revelation.
About Matthew 24: This is the most debated topic on the 4 Gospels. In my opinion, studies, and readings, I have seen how Matthew 24 is yet to be fulfilled. It is strict opinion, but if you read it, you will see why most people believe it has not being fulfilled. I will expand more on this topic if anyone has any questions. This can be found at: Matthew 24!! :)
About Pilate: Many seem to blame Pilate for Jesus' death. If you read the passages I suggest, you will see he wanted to set Jesus free. This can be found at: Matthew 27:11-26.
About the Book of Revelation: I will gladly discuss and explain this one to anyone who has interest. There is too much on this one. My suggestion is to the interested to send me an E-mail and we may expand on this hard topic. This can be found at: Book Of Revelation.
About Helping Others: When your Day comes, God will judge you according to what you did and did not do. This can be found at: Matthew 25:34-46.
About Christians Helping Christians: All believers must be in one heart and mind, so that in hard times, Christians will help Christians as they need. That is what God expect of Christians: To love one another. This can be found at: Acts 4:32-35
About Trust: This one is self-explanatory, but I always like to see how people behave with little issues because that shows how they will probably behave when big issues arise. This can be found at: Luke 16:8-15.
About Forgiveness: When someone sins against you, you must forgive them from the heart. I know this can be pretty hard, but with time, you will be able to forgive. Please forgive people in your prayers, so that God may forgive you as well. This can be found at: Luke 17:3-4.
About Pride and Boasting: I know we all love America. We have worked hard to make this nation what it is today, but let's not be too proud of it. Also, I need to remind everyone that feeling like the 'king of the world' because you may be rich or because you think you are better than anyone else, is not a Godly thing. This can be found at: Luke 14:8-11.
About Persistence: Jesus commanded us to never give up, no matter what. Simple as that. It is all in a parable. This can be found at: Luke 18:1-8.
About Jesus: Jesus is not just the Savior. He open up the way to Heaven so that we who believe in Him shall have everlasting life. There is too much to talk about Jesus and it would be impossible to talk about all that Jesus is and did for us, but I want to share a parable. This can be found at: John 11:25-26.
About being on your guards against men: A few Christians believe God is keeping them in a shell, protected from everything and everyone. There is clear evidence in the Bible that in this world, we will have trouble. Jesus himself teaches us that we must be on our guards at all times against men! This can be found at: Matthew 10:16-23
About Jesus and Peace: Do you think Jesus came to bring peace to Earth? Hah! Think again! Jesus came to bring division. Does that mean we need to fight among ourselves? No! Jesus came to bring salvation, but at the same time, His coming brought division, for now some believe in Him and some do not. Because of Jesus many nations raised and have fallen! [ If you like history, it was Christianity that brought the first immigrants to form America! ] This can be found at: Matthew 10: 34-36.
About Heaven: John saw a vision in the Island of Patmos. He saw Heaven and it's glory, exactly how it is. Check out his vision in Revelation. Note verse 21:4. This can be found at: Revelation 21 and 22:1-6.
About Satan's Doom: Yes! The Devil will lose and will receive his well-deserved punishment! This can be found at: Revelation 20:7-10.
About the One Thousand Years: When Jesus returns, the dead will rise and will be judged. From what I have read in Revelation, the people who lived during the Antichrist's reign and did not accept the mark will reign with Christ on Earth for 1,000 years! This can be found at: Revelation 20:4-6
About the Final Battle between Good and Evil: No, it will not be George W, Bush who will wipe out evil from the Earth (even though he is a Christian with the best of intentions). There will be the Battle of Armageddon. I cannot explain how this battle will be, but anyone can read where this will take place. This can be found at: Revelation 16:16.
About the Mark of The Beast: This is no joke, nor it is a technological advance. Any chips, tattoos, drawings, bar codes, or any of the such that any government may try to impose on people's hands or foreheads is the Mark of the Beast. If you accept it, you are doomed to suffer forever and ever! And yes, if you read Revelation and the Gospels where they talk about this end, then you will realize there will be Christians here to decide whether to accept the Mark or not. I will explain this in detail to anyone who E-mail me. This can be found at: Revelation 13:16-18.
About the Beast out of the Sea: This will not be a literal huge monster. This will be a human being, who rose out of the midst of the people (sea in this case is used to represent multitudes of people, just like in Revelation 17:15). This human being is the AntiChrist and he will deceive many. Apparently, this human will receive a fatal wound and he will miraculously recover and people from all the Earth will be astonished! This is the AntiChrist and he is the one who will rule for a certain time and try to force his Mark on all humankind. This can be found at: Revelation 13:1-5 and 13:
About the Beast out of the Earth: Again, no huge monster. This 'Beast' is the spirit of Satan who will enter the body of the AntiChrist and give the human AntiChrist power to deceive many (he will pretend to be a lamb, but in truth is an evil dragon). If you wonder if that is the Devil's spirit, then you need to read the story where the Devil was thrown down in the Earth (Rev. 12:12). This Satanic spirit will give the AntiChrist power to perform miraculous signs. This spirit will give authority to the AntiChrist over people. This can be found at: Revelation 13:11-18.
About the story of the Woman and the Dragon: Revelation 12. This is a little confusing, but this is not about the future. This is a story about what happen. Revelation 12:1-2 is about Mary, the mother of Jesus. Verses 3-5 are about Satan, who lived in Heaven and swept 1/3 of the angels in Heaven to rebel against God. Then Satan waited for Mary to give birth to Jesus, so he could kill Jesus (see Matthew 2:13-14). Verses 7-12, Michael, an angel of war, fights the Devil and defeats him, throwing him down in the Earth. Verses 13-16, shows how God protected His son, Jesus on Earth. Verse 17 shows how the Devil is angry and since he could not kill Jesus, he decided to attack those who believe in Jesus. This can be found at: Revelation 12.
