MECOUREMECHEN KIHOE

What's up everyone? What brings you to my neck of the woods? I hope you will stay and check me out. Don't forget to drop me a line. Sign the guestbook. Thanks!.......... JERRY

My name is Jerry Richardson. Hollister, NC is where I call home. I know you have most likely never heard of it, but it is a small rural town in the northern part of the state. For the most part, I like to play basketball, hang out, e-mail my friends, go to powwows, meet new people, and spending time with my family. I attend Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Warrenton, NC, where I have been going to church and Sunday School all my life! During my high school years, I worked at Byrd's Food Stores and Hannaford Food and Drug Superstore. Mentioning high school, I attended Northwest Halifax High School in Littleton, NC. I graduated in May 1998 with honors. Yeah, I've got a good head on my shoulders, you might say.

I am a proud member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe in Hollister, NC. For more information on the tribe visit SNAC Homepage-Haliwa-Saponi Tribe. Each year the tribe holds its annual powwow, the 3rd weekend in April. The name Haliwa represents the counties in which we live, Halifax and Warren. The title of this page, "Mecouremechen Kihoe" means "You are welcomed to be here". If there is anything you would like to know or learn about Native American culture, language, or whatever, NativeWeb - an Internet Community, is a good place to look for answers.

Presently, I am a sophmore at North Carolina State University, where I am studying pulp and paper technology/chemical engineering at the College of Forest Resources: N.C. State University. If you would like to know what's going on around campus visit the school newspaper, TOL (The Technician). If you are a Tarheel fan, you're in the wrong place, you need to be at goheels.com. While here at State, you can e-mail me at jlrichar@unity.ncsu.edu.

Last, but certainly not least, I would like to recognize some people who are close to me. Family is VERY important to me ( You get on my case, but I love ya!). To all my boyz around the way in Holliwood (You know who you are!). To everyone at State (Go Pack!). To the class of 98 (The Wild Wild West!). To all my e-mail buddies. Much love to Everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Jerry L. Richardson.! God Bless You All!
