notes:
when playing the chorus twice in a row near the end of the song, it's a
little tricky to connect the two. at the end of the chorus the first time,
play the last C chord, but don't sing "but we're always in repair."
the guitars are in standard tuning (EADGBE).
some of the lyrics i typed might be wrong, especially in the bridge.
the verses may be played with all power chords on an acoustic guitar.

Our Lady Peace : Are You Sad?

#7 on Spiritual Machines (2000)
music and lyrics by Raine Maida
tabbed by dave d'uva <merk88@sympatico.ca> 1.18.2001
tune down 1/2 step

the timing can be tough in this song. you'll probably have to listen
to the cd to get a sense of it. i found that concentrating on the bass
helps, since the rhythm guitar is low in the mix.
at the end, i typed two lines of lyrics for every line of chords. that's
where the vocal layering is, so don't get confused. :)
the guitar sounds pretty low in the verses. try concentrating on
strumming the lower end strings, and hit the B and high E strings
seldom or not at all.

chords:

D: XX0232 or X57775 or 10 12 12 11 10 10
G: 320033 or 355433
