Dayna Renee Schroeder, a locally based jewelry designer has lived in New Orleans since 1988. Originally from Southern California, Dayna resided in London, England for a year of studies, a year and a half in Sydney, Australia and 3 years in Los Angeles. The mother of three children ages 6, 11 and 13, Dayna has created lines of Jewelry inspired by her travels through Europe over the past 3 years. The beautiful Hand Blown crystals manufactured in Venice on Murano Island inspired Dayna. There she made the decision to utilize this unique and brilliant glass to form Jewelry that is distinctive in style, and mystical in depth of color. Dayna utilizes Swarovski Austrian Crystals, hand blown Murano glass, fresh water Pearls, South Sea Cultured Pearls, Semi Precious Stones in delicate facets and sizes, and other products found in various regions throughout Europe and India. Dayna, concerned with the quality and clarity of the product she uses, personally travels through Europe to numerous design studios so she is able to select the Stones and various crystals ensuring their quality. As well, all her designs are made with Sterling Silver, Bali Silver,14k Gold Filled, 14K White or Yellow Gold and Platinum.
Dayna's creations are already catching the eye of the public. Upscale clothing retailers are offering her designs in their boutiques here in New Orleans and in other metropolitan cities. Dayna's art is located in many jewelry galleries and studio's including the elegant " Ritz Carlton Hotel New Orleans Signature Shop". Her work in the wedding industry designing custom Tiara's and jewelry is also being noticed by vendors throughout the region .
