Millennium Raffle!

The Berner Emergency Health Assistance Fund is pleased to announce the winners in our Millennium Raffle!

Now, drumroll please..........the BEHAF Millennium Raffle was conducted on January 1st at the home of Cathi DeSantis. In attendance were Cathi and myself, Ken DeSantis, Bob Carl, and my daughter Hannah, who drew the tickets as a disinterested party (she was more interested in the dogs and the Chipmunk movie that was on)! Also in attendance were Ari, Bacchus, Lucy and Heather, supervising the whole procedure. There were a total of 67 families who participated in the raffle. There were 37 families involved in the Cart Raffle, and 57 families involved with the General Raffle. There were 48 individual prizes (including a bonus prize that was drawn when all the non-winning tickets were combined at the end of the Raffle drawing), and 38 families won prizes. (Yes, that means that some people won multiple prizes!) The total amount of money that was raised from the Millennium Raffle is.......another drumroll please.......$2,176.50! Thank you to everyone who participated in any way, whether you donated prizes, purchased tickets, worked on the website, posted to the list, emailed your support.....whatever you did, THANK YOU!!!! The Berner Community has once again shown that we can and will take care of our own.

Penny says: "The picture in the center is of my miracle puppy 'Tyra' and her favorite kitty 'KB'. They sleep together and play together. Note the Spalding baseball in the corner.
