YOU CAN
DURING INITIAL ENTRY TRAINING (IET)
You will learn the basic soldiering skill, the disicipline, focus, and courage needed to be
successful in life. Next you will be trained in one of the many technical or administrative
career fields. Afterwards you return home to attend school or return to your civilian
employment. Meanwhile your obligation to the National Guard is only one weekend per
month and two weeks in the summer.
PERFECT FOR STUDENTS
If you are atleast 17 years old and a High School Junior, Senior, Graduate, or College
Student you can join the guard right now, and will be back from IET in time for school
in the fall.
PRIOR SERVICE OF ALL BRANCHES ARE WELCOME TO JOIN OUR TEAM
DON'T WASTE THOSE YEARS OF ACTIVE MILITARY SERVICE.
MOST VIRGINIAN'S ARE COMBAT ARMS: SUCH AS INFANTRY, ARTILLERY AND
COMBAT ENGINEERS.
THEY ARE SUPPORTED BY PEOPLE IN OTHER FIELDS SUCH AS:
Food Service, Medical Specialists, Administration and Personnel Specialists, Finance
Specialists, Chemical Operations, Communications, Maintenance Technicians, Aviation,
and Vehicle Operators
