Town of Fantasy

Begin being with my friend Vijay. We're both going towards town. But it's no ordinary town. The town is based in a primitive fantasy world. A kind of town where creatures of all sorts go shopping using gold pieces. I'm wearing something suitable for the occasion, Leather clad clothes with knee length boots and pouches, but strangely Vijay is wearing ordinary clothes; Jeans, top etc. As we approach the town1 I reveal to him a fantastic way of obtaining money, and also that I use this method often. The method is, going to the center of town, and holding your hand out. Any 'Muslim' that goes past will immediately hand money out, and by, money I mean notes! I tell Vijay that I made £30 last week.

We finally reach the center and I tell him to wait. The center is over crowded with people and creatures of all sorts i.e. dwarfs, elves, ogres etc. No one looks at us as if we're strangers. There is dirt and mud everywhere. Up on a bridge not far away, I notice a wizened old blind man selling some soft fluffy objects. He is holding out the amount of money that he wants for them. There seems to be some silver and gold pieces in his hand. He is a very old man, wearing a ground length black robe, with a long beard and moustache. His teeth aren't all there. His eyes aren't in their sockets. I begin to go up the stairs that lead to him for some reason. That is when I notice some sort of panic beginning at the center of town. This is what I have been waiting for. I jump of the wooden steps that lead to the old man. I then jam my hand in my pockets and pull out a handful of coins. They are not ordinary coins, but small bronze and copper pieces that are suitable for the era that I'm in. Some have pictures of small vicious creatures with tentacles, carved in them. I take out all the coins that bare this creature, which are also decidedly sharp edged. I walk towards the center of town where the excitement has built up. The center of town is under a great arched bridge. Hoards of people are above it, glaring down. I walk through the crowd of people until I am below the bridge. Despite a great hole being in the bridge above me, it is very dark. Ahead of me is a risen round sort of stage. On it are two beautiful princesses. They are running around all over the stage yelling "The monsters are coming! Save us! They can only be killed by themselves." Above the stage, and looking at the scene from the hole, is the king. He is begging someone to save his daughters, and whoever Will, will be rewarded with gold. I notice Vijay up there as well.

And then the monsters come. They are quite small, but terrifying. They start running after the princesses. Without further ado I pull out the coins that have the same pictures as the monsters and begin to skim them through the air at them. Some miss but most wedges into them. By the time I've finished my supply of coins the monsters are dead. But then suddenly one of the monsters comes back to life and jumps into the air above us. He jumps through the hole in the bridge and up, up into the air where a cage seems to hang. The monsters go into the cage where some sort of transformation occurs. Flashes of lightening flash out and then the monster falls out again, but he is no longer himself. He is now a giant red dragon, falling down directly above me. There is not a second to lose. Quickly I grab a dagger that's on the ground beside me and swinging it back, prepare to bring it down on him while he is still falling. As I swing it back the dagger blade gets long and becomes a blade of a sword. The dragon is almost on top of me when I swing the sword forward and hack it to the ground, cutting it neatly in two. The king applauds at this and the princesses are dancing. The king throws a big bag of gold down at me; I collect my reward, and also the small coins that are still wedged in the monsters. I hurry out of the bridge and onto the main area where I left Vijay. He asks me if I made any money. I show him the bag of gold and say some generous Muslim gave it to me. I don't know if he knows the truth but we walk away from that crazy town.
