Pointers for Making Eye-Poems

Neatness counts. This is a visual/verbal piece of art.
Avoid well-known slogans. Although using photographs and advertising print, originality counts.
Do not exceed 8/1/2 x 11 inches. Leave a clear border instead of putting words flush against the edge of the page. First place winners are published and a big problem in the past has been words being cut off when the poems are scanned.
No little print or advertisement should be on the poem. Preferred size is 18 point or above. The poem should be able to be read easily as if mounted on the wall.
Phrases are better than single words; found single words are better than those cut out of individual letters.
