Description: No. 700 Aerial Ladder Truck. MFD stands for Mound Fire Department. Mound's fire department was across from, and within easy sight of, the Tonka plant, and across from Mound's large elementary school, Shirley Hills, where most of Tonka's key advisers spent their days. Eventually it was changed to TFD to be consistant with the current naming convention.
