Sandy's Vintage Tonka Vehicles

Year:   The grader in the photo is a 1961 or 1962 model.
Description:
In 1961 it appears that all Tonka graders went "Yellow". As the machine was the same as before it continued to sell individually as the now yellow No.12. and in sets B216 and B218. In 1962 The number of the individual yellow grader was changed to 512. It was also sold in set No.2150. In 1963 the Hi-way Department emblem on the side of the cab was replaced with the Tonka Decal. The individual grader was sold as the 512 and in a set No.2160. This continued in 1964 at least with the 512 and I'm not sure about any sets containing it.

The second photo is of a box showing the exhaust stack on the right side rather than the left side. This is apparently an artistic error.
