Parent/Teacher Responsibility
Parents enrolling with ESM agree to the following:
1. Complete the necessary forms for enrollment and pay the appropriate fees.
2. To maintain fellowship and accountability with the Body of Christ. This can include those who home church.
3. Maintain an attendance record and teach the state's required 180 days of school per year.
4. File each quarterly report with grades and attendance according to the specified schedule.
5. Attain approved testing or evaluation if requested by ESM at their own cost. ESM reserves this right of request for situations that deem suspect of a lack of diligence in parental teaching responsibility. To date, we have never had to make this request.
6. Attend a consultation meeting if requested.
7. To select and purchase curriculum, testing or evaluations at their own cost.
8. To provide adult supervision (18 years of older) for students up to the age of 16 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the school year. If this is a problem contact us.
9. To diligently teach the minimum subjects of Bible, English, Math, History and Science.
10. It is very beneficial and recommended that parents maintain a portfolio with the following included:
curriculum list
lesson plans
samples of student work
tests
grades
volunteer service
awards
field trips
reading lists
recognitions and achievements
extracurricular activities
