When I Grew Up I Wanted to Be . . .

During my teen years I aspired to be an interior decorator, doctor,
business manager, psychologist, lawyer, teacher, mother and wife.
But I just could not make up my mind.
I liked so many things.

Then one day while looking into the mirror
And wondering if I had failed in life,
The Spirit spoke to me . . .
The Lord HAD answered my heart’s many desires!

I decorate my home to accommodate my family to live, work and play.
It is done with practicality and openness wherein we can all share our day.

I get to be doctor to my family with good nutrition and herbs.
I ice pack and a kiss booboo or two
While I am able to have my newborn baby delivered at home coo.

I manage the budget and expenditures each year
Doing cost analyses and tax returns
Trusting my Provider without any fear.

I counsel my children and husband at times
Pointing them toward the eternal goal . . .
Helping them to make this temporal life make reason and rhyme.

I argue a defense case and pray
When the Prosecuting Attorney accuses and seeks to lead my lambs astray.
I lift up the Law and the Eternal Contract before the Judge
Asking for mercy and reminding Him the penalty for their crime has been paid.

Alas!  I prepare lesson plans and grade papers
While molding young minds and preparing them for life
Which was all made possible by my loving Heavenly Father
Who made me a HOMESCHOOL MOTHER and WIFE!
