Summer 1999 Long and Hot. Hot in Spring, Summer and Fall. There was no Fall. Summer into Winter.

Summer 2000 Generally cold from the outset and wet. Too many rainy days. Only vegetables which do well in cold and rain did well. Grass required cutting every week all summer long.

Review
Winter 2000-2001
Winter started December 15, 2000 with temperatures remaining constantly cold right through to March of 2001. There were no large variations in temperatures. Last snowstorm of the season was a surprise as to how large it got and as to just how much snow fell. After two days of snow, 52 cm.

Review Summer 2001 The summer started off cold and we thought, it would be a repeat of last summer. After the first 2 weeks we had five straight weeks of sunshine and more sunshine with no rain. Not only did we experience a record setting drought but so did most of North America. Some rain did come in the last week of August.

Review Fall 2001 The Fall stayed mostly on the warm side even though we had snow flurries on Halloween and on the morning of Nov 5.

Review Winter of 2001-2002 Unusual to say the least. Warmest winter in the last 50 years up to end of January. No snowstorm in January or February. First blast of real cold air 5 deg F., comes to us on February 2, 2002. Snow only comes in second half of March and just keeps coming.

Review Spring of 2001-2002 So what happens next, we have a really cold spring. My tomato plants got the big freeze near May 22, 2002.

Review of Summer 2002 Hot, Dry and Hot, One long drought for Northeast.
Very, Very Little rain, Even less than last summer

Review of Winter 2003-2004 Very, Very Cold  in January, and just too long.

Review of Summer 2004 July was hot and normal. August was like October  weather being too cold with too much rain. September was also a little cool. Lousiest tomato crop in years. Too much rain. California also had too much rain and hurricanes wiped out most of Florida's tomato crop, Tomato prices sky rocketed in the fall to about $4.99 a kilo.

Review of Fall 2004 A sort of regular fall except for a lot of rain, kind of warm. Cold sets in Late November.
