Feline Facts

These are more for humans, but they are still interesting!
Did you know......
-A cat can sprint at about thirty-one miles per hour.
-A cat's brain is more similar to a man's brain than that of a dog.
-Normal body temperature for a cat is 102 degrees F.
-Kittens lose their baby teeth!! At three to four months the incisors erupt. Then at four to six months, they lose their canines, premolars and molars. By the time they are seven months old, their adult teeth are fully developed. This is one of the ways a vet (or you) can tell the age of a kitten. -The more cats are spoken to, the more they will speak back. You will learn a lot from your cat's wide vocabulary of chirps and meows.

Need Advice? You've come to the right place!

Dear Leia:
My family has a LOT of other cats, and I like eating their food instead of my kitten food. Meowmie says that kittens need more calories. But I don't want to eat the kitten food! It tastes hissiful!
Very hissed off,
Fluffy

Dear Fluffy,
I used to have the same problem! But Mim asked the vet and they said if I ate a little bit of canned food too, I would be all right and get a balanced diet. So I get to eat meat AND adult food! Mmm!
