Stones and gems are among those. Before using stones it is a good idea to cleanse, consecrate and empower a stone. </div> <div>  </div> <bR> <div> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------</div> <bR> <div>  </div> <div> To cleanse</div> <div>  </div> <div> There are many methods to do this, depending on the power of the cleansing you need. Here are a few:</div> <div>  </div> <bR> <div> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------</div> <bR> <div>  </div> <div> Burying it in salt</div> <div>  </div> <div>       This is for the most extreme of cleansing. What you do is that you get the stone you wish to cleanse, and you bury it in salt for 3 days. When burying it say a simple spell like;</div> <div>  </div> <div> Salt of the earth, I request a rebirth!</div> <div> Rebirth this crystal for me, and as I will, so mote it be!</div> <div>        After you have done this visualize the negativity out of the stone into the salt. After 3 days unbury it and bury the salt as far away from your house as possible.</div> <bR> <div> The problems with this ritual is that if your stone isn't that strong it could damage it. This should really only be done on quartz but saying that this ritual is really only meant to be used in the most extreme of cleansing.</div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------</div> <bR> <bR> <div> Burying it in earth</div> <bR> <div>        This is pretty much the same as the salt ritual, except it isn't as hard on the stone. When you bury it though you will have to say a different spell. A good one would be ;</div> <bR> <div> Mother Earth, Gaia divine,</div> <div> Please cleanse this crystal of mine.</div> <bR> <div>       Also after you have completed the ritual you do not need to get rid of the earth. You can use earth from a houseplant if you wish, just make sure wherever you put it you don't lost it ^_^</div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------</div> <bR> <bR> <div> Smudge</div> <bR> <div>          Take some sage and put it in an abalone shell. Light it and use a feather to waft the smoke over the crystal. The shell represents water, the sage is earth, the fire is fire (of course) and the feather represents air. You use all four elements this way, and you don't have to wait for a full moon. It can be done anytime. Say something like:</div> <bR> <bR> <div> By all the power of fire, air, land and sea,</div> <div> This crystal cleansed shall be!</div> <bR> <bR> <div> Picture all the impurities being carried away by the smoke.</div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------</div> <bR> <bR> <div> To consecrate</div> <bR> <div> This isn't that hard to do really, you just have to make the stone tuned in with your energies. To do this simply carry it with you in your pocket (if it is a small stone) for 7 days. Or you can sleep with it underneath your pillow for 3 days. Just keep it with you for as long as you feel is necessary.</div> <bR> <div> After this is done you may want to put it to a specific purpose. You can do this by anointing it with the right oil, or just having a special ritual. </div> <bR> <div> If you wish to do the ritual the full moon is a good time to do it. After smudging it say something like</div> <bR> <div> By all the power of land and sea, this stone consecrated shall be.</div> <div> To be used only for good, and to return no harm to me.</div> <div> No harm shall be done with this stone to others or me,</div> <div> And as I will, so mote it be!</div> <bR> <div> or you may have something different planned for it. If that is the case then just change the spell to something you think is suitable.</div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------</div> <bR> <bR> <div> To empower</div> <bR> <div> To do this you simply let it stand in the light of the full moon, then remove it before sunrise.
