P.O.P.E. is an active, Australian based, education group fighting for the survival of our public education system. We have formed this site as a collective space to debate the role and condition of public schools, Universities and T.A.F.E. Colleges throughout Australia and the world.

We believe in the adequate resourcing of Public Education and the principles of equity that the Public Education system stands for, even if inadequately practised. We are against the principle of "User Pays" in education as in anything else. Some people have a greater capacity to pay than others. This is a class system. We are seeking unity in action to stop the widening class gap in the interests of a more equitable Australia. |
